Boil the pasta

Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining and setting the pasta aside. In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant and golden.
