Prepare the cake mixture
Start by preheating the oven to 325 and generously grease the bundt pan with bundt pan with butter. Now, use a stand mixer and beat the butter on high speed until smooth and creamy for about 2 minutes. Scrape the sides with the help of a rubber spatula and stir the cream cheese. Beat the cream on high speed until smooth and add sugar. Now, stir sugar, sour cream and vanilla essence separately and ensure everything is combined properly. Beat the eggs allowing each to mix fully and ensure that the mixture is not overmixed.

Once the sixth egg is added, stop the mixer and stir baking powder, salt and cake flour. Beat on medium speed and give the batter a final mix. Ensure that the batter is thick and creamy. Pour the batter into the greased pan and bang the pan on the counter to prevent any bubbles. Bake for about 75-95 minutes or until the mixture is baked properly. Once the toothpick comes out completely clean, the pound cake is done. Remove the cake from the oven and invert it slightly onto a wire rack. Slice and serve with toppings like homemade whipped cream and berries and enjoy!Note: You can also store cake for up to 2-5 days.
