Cook the noodles
Heat 2 cups of water in a small pan and bring it to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. If using carrots, add the peeled and diced vegetables to the water at this stage. Add the instant noodles to the boiling water. Stir occasionally and cook for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are al dente (firm but cooked through). Drain the water completely. Return the drained noodles to the pot, then add ½ teaspoon of butter, ⅓ teaspoon of garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper. Stir until the butter melts and coats the noodles evenly, enhancing the flavour.
