A play on the iconic Bombay Sandwich, this cheesy masala toast is an explosion of flavours and is sure to be the hit of the tiffin box.

Step 1

Saute The Spices

Preheat the oven grill or toaster. In a pot, heat some oil and add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves, saute till they splutter, then add the green chillies, turmeric and ginger garlic paste.

Cook Potatoes

Add the boiled mashed potatoes and cook well. In a bowl, mix together the potato mix with grated cheese, finely chopped onion, tomato, chaat masala, red chilli powder, and salt.

Prepare The Toast

Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice. Place the bread slices buttered-side down on a baking sheet. Spread the potato and vegetable mixture evenly over the unbuttered side of each bread slice.

Bake The Toast
