Preparation Steps
Step 1
Prepare the paratha dough
In a bowl, mix 100 g wheat flour with ¼ tsp salt. Gradually add water while kneading to form a soft dough. Add ½ tsp oil and knead again for 2-3 minutes to make the dough smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes. Heat 1 tsp oil in a small pan. Add ½ tsp cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add ½ tsp chopped garlic and ¼ tsp chopped green chilli. Saute until fragrant. Stir in 2 tbsp chopped onion and cook until translucent. Add 2 tbsp chopped tomato and cook until softened.
Step 2
Stuff the cheese filling in the paratha
Season with ⅛ tsp turmeric powder, ¼ tsp coriander powder, and ⅛ tsp red chilli powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Turn off the heat and mix in 1 Britannia The Laughing Cow Creamy Cheese Sachet , ½ tsp chaat masala, and ½ tbsp chopped coriander. Let the mixture cool slightly. Divide the dough into two equal balls. Roll out one ball into a thin circle. Place the cheese stuffing in the centre and spread slightly, leaving space at the edges. Roll the second ball into another circle and place it over the stuffed dough. Seal the edges by pinching them together.
Step 3
Serve and enjoy!
Heat a tawa on medium heat. Place the paratha on it and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form. Flip the paratha and drizzle 1 tsp of oil or ghee around the edges. Cook until golden brown, flipping occasionally. Remove from the tawa once evenly cooked. Pack with an extra Britannia The Laughing Cow Creamy Cheese Sachet for a tasty tiffin snack.
