And with festivals comes a lot of meeting and greeting as friends and family spend time visiting each other to share in the celebrations. If you’re expecting a lot of guests during this festive season, it’s important to plan ahead to make sure you have some tasty snacks to offer, and these Cheesy Bread Pakodas are the perfect solution.
A twist on the classic fried snack, this recipe is loaded with the creaminess of Britannia The Laughing Cow Cheese Cubes and offset by the fresh flavours of bell peppers. Try out this recipe next time you have guests over and be ready to wow them with this interesting fusion dish.

Cheesy Bread Pakora Recipe – Serves 8

A cheesy twist on an Indian snacking favourite, these Bread Pakodas are the perfect addition to your festive platter.
Ingredients
| Quantity | Ingredients |
| 2 cups | Gram flour (Besan) |
| 8 | Britannia The Laughing Cow Cheese Cubes |
| 4 | Green chillies, chopped |
| 3 cups | Refined oil, for frying |
| 1 | Yellow bell pepper, chopped |
| 16 slices | White bread |
| 1 | Green capsicum, chopped |
| 2 pinches | Baking soda |
| 1 | Red bell pepper, chopped |
| To taste | Salt |
| 1 tsp | Turmeric powder |
| As required | Water |
Method
- Wash the vegetables thoroughly. Chop the yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, and green capsicum.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped vegetables, Britannia The Laughing Cow Cheese Cubes, green chillies, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, mix 2 cups of gram flour, water, 1 tsp turmeric, and salt. Stir until smooth, then add 2 pinches of baking soda. Mix until a batter-like consistency is achieved.
- Place 16 slices of bread on a clean surface. Spread the cheese and vegetable mixture evenly on 8 slices, then cover with the remaining 8 slices to form sandwiches. Cut each sandwich in half.
- Heat oil in a deep-bottomed pan over medium heat. Dip each sandwich in the gram flour batter, ensuring they are well-coated. Carefully fry the pakoras until they turn golden and crispy.
- Serve the hot cheesy bread pakoras with your favourite dip or chutney.
